Yes, there is a David Walters who was in the O:E, including serving in the
Gibson HDP with Joe Thomas & Company. I thought that with his personal
idiosyncrasies and southern twang, he was among the most effective of the blue
shirts in relating to that community.
And he's been on this listserv for years.

No, I am not George Walters' son. However, somewhere in the early 1800s our
forebearers were in Georgia. One part of the family left for north Florida and
George descends from them. Another branch wound up in sout Alabama where I now
live. This makes kin us somehow but I now not quite sure how to state it - maybe
fifth cousin seven times removed. Otherwise I think Georg is a real great guy
who publishes fine books.

When I have seen David’s name, I have assumed that this is David, the son of
Carol and George. Maybe I’m wrong.

This is a real mystery. I thought I was familiar with just about everyone from
the early days, but I don't have any image or memory of a David Walters. Do you
think he really exists? Perhaps it's another colleague using a false name so
they can speak without people judging. We need to get to the bottom of this!
