I feel so privileged to have known Hubert in community in Fifth City and
later renewed the acquaintance in Phoenix at Area meetings. I so enjoyed his
sense of humor. Fred loved and admired him.

Martha is a wonderful writer. I sent her story to Lynn Woltjer and to Gil
and his partner of many years, Sheryl Anderson I'm copying Sheryl's reply
below. She of course didn't know Hubert but makes a couple of very good
points. If Martha decides to publish her story, I'd love to share my experience,
though for all I know she may have vastly more writing experience than I.

I am continually humbled and gratified to be part of this powerful
community.

Blessings,
Jann McGuire

Wow, Jann, what a story! And Martha has made it read like the fascinating
novel that it is. Credit her for giving voice not only to Hubert, but to
'everyman' everywhere whose ordinary life is actually a tale of heroic
wonders. It's too bad that these details of Hubert's specific life couldn't be
sent to everyone because they would inspire so many to keep going even in
despair! What a great ability to keep landing in the present moment no
matter what happens and see a way to go.

I didn't even know the man, but this story has worked its way into my
recesses and changed my life.

Thanks so much, Jann....I'll tell Gil it's here for the reading.

Happy New Year! We'll keep in touch.

Love, love, Sheryl Beryl
