Dear Sandra,



Thank you for being a friend and colleague.  Thank you for opening your home
to Jono and me after the fire on East 5th Street.  Thank you for all those
grand Thanksgiving day spreads at West 22nd Street and in Keams Canyon.  Thank
you for sleeping on the floor during our Durango house renovation and thank
you, especially, for being there at our commitment ceremony in 2002.  Thank
you for always remembering our birthdays only weeks apart.  Thank you for
being Daudi’s guardian at the D.C. house and being sure he kept a shoe in
the door.  Thank you for roaming the Colorado Plateau with me and for
dipping into the splendor of the canyons.  Thank you for your time on the
“rez” and of your love of the land and its people.



So, dear friend,

You have released your compassion and equanimity across the globe.

And now, your spirit has been released to find its place in the in the
universe.
