[Oe List ...] Fred's Story Time #2

																Father's Day Deceased
															
															Fred and I parted
																22 years ago
																(after 26 years of marriage).
															Still, a world without
																Fred in it
																seems strange.

															Where will I send
																my Father's Day cards,
																about ties?
															There are none to be found
																for divorcees'.

															Whether in this world 
																or the next,
															He will always be
																the father of
																my children.

															There are images
																and stories,
															They will always exists,
																just not quiet,
																the way Fred told them.


							Postlude:

															I always said that
																with Fred's stories
															You had to divide
																by two and add one
																to approximate reality.

															Now I guess we'll
																have to subtract one
																and multiply by two
															To get a halfway
																discent story.

															Yes, I guess we'll all miss
																the story teller---
															And have a lot more
																time on our hands.
