    Ah, there it is; the message of solitude and simplicity as the metaphors bringing effectivity into our lives. 
    Thank you for a moment of profound At-One-Ment. What gets me into trouble is describing how living in simplicity is a struggle to define metaphors that illuminate moments of inner solidtude--a journey to the East.

Those of you who know me well know that solitude & simplicity are 
internal states of my being that have to be cultivated and cared for, 
thus in writing my Morning Pages at sunrise today it seemed to me a 
healthy foci to seek as summer approaches the day after my 74th 
birthday this year.
Having just completed the Ignatian Exercises and writing a haiku each 
of the 34 weeks to hold the essence of the week, I am now in the 
midst of painting a mandala for each of the haiku....ah, solitude!
Having listed the varying ways I am engaged in community both locally 
and globally it beomes apparent to me that without simplicity I don't 
stand very much of a chance for effectivity.
Both solitude and simplicity are held for me at sunrise on our front 
porch, which faces East. In sitting there in silence, I become aware 
of how all creation enters into my life to assist me in my desires 
for these states of being and I am grateful.

Since 1969 I have been connected with O:E/EI/ICA in varying ways. 
Currently I serve on the 50 Events Team for our ICA-USA 50th 
Celebration Mid-Century of Care and look forward to the many ways we 
can all celebrate the journey of bringing consciousness to the gift 
of life we share.
