[Oe List ...] Summer solstice celebration

Solstice  Celebration 
Denver,  Colorado 
We searched for the blue  balloons in City Park, or followed the map 
provided, and found the group of our  colleagues.  There were bounteous food and 
drink, majestic green trees and  glorious blue skies.  We sent Jean Long out 
to her residency at the Kemper  Building (now often referred to as "4750") 
in Chicago, to the tune of “Grace and  Peace be unto You.”  We celebrated 
Carl Larsen's 90th birthday this summer  with “We Celebrate Your Being Here 
with Being Itself in History.”  We  honored the lives and deaths of Rodney 
Wilson and Don Moffat, singing  “Journey On,” as well as remembering the many 
other loved ones who have  completed their lives.  Then we moved from the 
picnic tables to view the  ducks on nearby Ferril Lake and to feast on ice 
cream and  strawberries. 
In attendance:  Sunny Walker, her daughter Teresa,  and granddaughter 
Heaven, Clarence and Shirley Snelling, Sherwood Shankland,  Clare and Ken 
Whitney, Jean Long, OliveAnn and Jim Slotta, Catherine and Mark  Welch, Martha Lee 
Sugg, Walt Epley, Kathryn and Steve Smith, Ann and John Epps,  Karen Bueno, 
Carl Larsen.
