I think that was before "word processors" and 8 inch floppy disks, but surely
Marshall will clear this up as soon as he checks his email.

The word processor was in a room behind the old collegium room at 3444 W.
Congress – as I remember it used 8 inch floppy disks.

One of those young women was Del (Dolores), who had a big thing about inclusive
language!! Though am unaware of running an old computer room word processor,
though I’d love to know who she was. There was more to it than just inclusive
language regarding male and female – I believe there was some attempt to be even
more universal, if I recall.

Brought back memories of a (then) young woman who ran the old computer room word
processor. She ‘updated’ many of the songs and got the songbooks into print
with inclusive language – can’t remember her name.

Great idea, and don't we already have a song called "The Pentecost Hymn"?
LIke the sound of heaven with the rushing of the wind
Came the fire a=burning and new life was given to men.
The young see visioons and the old dream dreams
Born of fire, filled with power for all men. (a few changes needed,
obviously)

To the light from darkness and to freedom from fear,
Building from the ashes into one community:
Peter, Paul and Luther, Augustine and Benedict
Born of fire, filled with power for all men.
There are two more verses I can send if you want them. They are good, but need
some attention to gender! I found this in Movement Songs, page A-30. I think we
must have about all the songs written and they will belong to the Archives as
soon as we stop using them.
