Hi Dear Colleagues,

A special friend of us and you -- David Morton -- is preparing to undergo
triple bypass surgery to address issues occasioned by aortal stenosis,
complicated by pneumonia in both his lungs.  David underwent cardiac
categorization today, and surgery will likely occur early next week.

David's daughter, Kim has set up the following web page with Maine
Medical Center so that you can keep updated about David's situation and
also send messages to him while he is in hospital.

David's daughter, Kim, and husband Tim recently welcomed their son,
Finnegan David Michael Case, a great delight to Grandpa David.  A bit
before that, David's son, Luke Morton and his wife Kim welcomed a
beautiful daughter, also a gift to warm any Grandpa's heart.

David has been a very special person in our lives for many, many years,
especially our times spent with beloved colleagues in Australia.  More
recently he and his wife, Denney, have welcomed us to the heart and soul
of Maine.  Before we moved to Maine David and Don Clark developed a deep
and profound friendship, and generously welcomed Joe into that fold.  I
always think of David, Don and Joe as "the EI guys."

I trust our beloved community will hold David, Denney, Kim and Luke in
hearts and prayers.
