Thank you, Ken. Very powerful and meaningful songs in our history. Knowing
a bit of their history makes them even more special.

Thanks for picking us up at the airport in 1969 in that awful snowstorm!!

Lynda (and John)

Lynda,

In the fall of '68, I wrote the music for #256, O Lord Open Thou Our Lips -
the words are from the Daily Office ? or Anglican Matins in the good old
days. Lela and Jim used it in their wedding - Spring '69?

Then there is #322.

After Joe died, I put words to Send in the Clowns. Probably there was some
chart that I was playing off of?

I think, after 35 years, I am almost here.

Ken

SPIRIT OF CARE
Tune: Send In the Clowns

Lonely the road
Homeland is gone
Deafened by silence-
We travel on.
People who care

Over the world
Strange shadows form
Villages standing as one
Through raging storms
People who care
Spirit of care

No one to hate
Cleanly restored
Finally moving as one spirit
dancing through doors
Surrounded by harmony
echoing two million songs
Earth rise alive
New age belongs

Hope beyond hope
Sacred intent
Ceaselessly suffering
Never relent
People who care
Spirit of care
  Triumphantly won

Carried by waves
Lives ever claimed
Nothing compels us to love
Always unnamed
People who care
Spirit of care
  Eternally one

Ken, which two were those? I recall that we were trying to get history on
some of our songs. Where are the other 498?

Wow Sunny !!!

What a treasure trove.

Pat and I begin the day with the Realistic Living solitary office - 20
minutes of contemplation, 10 minutes of writing prayers and a song.

Options abound! (including the two of the 500 that I wrote)

Many thanks,

Ken

On its way. Not sure if it can attach here, but trying it, also. I zipped
it, so it's smaller.

could you email me a copy at jeanwatts at cox.net

Thanks
