John and I met Bob in Greensboro not too long ago and learned of our
connection through the Ecumenical Institute.

"Bob served in a variety of ministry settings, primarily campus ministry at
the NDSC, Fargo, ND, and theUniversity of Minnesota

children] lived at the Ecumenical Institute in one of Chicago's inner city
neighborhoods, while Bob trained to lead Institute work in Minneapolis. He
co-founded New Communities, Inc. and lived communally at The Castle
Community in Minneapolis."

His book GROWING SPIRITUALLY Without Getting Bogged Down in Religion tells
the story of his journey in trying to articulate a new story, which was
significantly influenced by this encounter with EI in 1964.

Some of you in ND and MN and early days of EI may remember Bob and the
family. We celebrate his completed life and the work of care that he gave.

With care, Lynda and John Cock
