[Oe List ...] Finally!

I was not trying to get into a debate about whether the UCC has reasonable
policies.  If I were to be involved in an institutional form of religion it
would probably be the UCC.  My point was that I retired from actively
serving within the denomination in 1983 or so, and I no longer have any
interest in any of the institutional stuff that keeps  coming my way.  But
to be wasting postage sending me annual threats of de-frocking after 25 or
more years makes me laugh (but not out loud).  I guess I should have just
hit the delete button instead of posting my comment.  But sometimes I just
can hardly contain myself.  MM

Considering the problems religious institutions have had with sexual
harassment/exploitation, it seems like a reasonable request that the UCC
made.

I am sorry, I meant to say Randy made a little sense to me also.  MM

 

In all the latest struggling to find meaning in the struggle of the past,
Jaime finally said Some-thing that made sense to me.  And the reference to
Brian's self-society issue.  I didn't exactly turn in my ordination to UCC
but when they keep sending me stuff about going to workshops on sexual
harassment etc. in order to maintain my "standing" whatever that means, I
laugh a little and press 'delete'. MM
