Well dear colleagues, John isn't doing to well. His condition has 
gotten worse rapidly in  the last 2-3 weeks. There is a large tumor 
pressing on his stomach which is making  eating and sleeping 
extremely difficult - and causes a range of  side-effects. He is 
still battling on and will decide today on what kind of care  he 
chooses next. The options are limited. 

The image is of John with his partner Gisele and his grand-child  
Aneira. (Note - too large for list, was not attached). He read her a 
story. His son Jonathan reports: He has trouble speaking because of 
the tube, so calling him is probably  rather difficult. I'm sure he 
would be delighted to receive cards, letters,  emails though. As we 
don't know where we will continue his treatment you can  send them to

I'll print the  e-mails and bring anything sent to my address. Until 
we have him switched to a  single room on the palliative ward or a 
hospice flowers would be a little  difficult as the current room 
doesn't have the space. Tough times ...... Paul
