What I wrote above reminds me of politicians whose 'apology' is to say they are sorry that their mean-spirited words upset some people.

So let me try again.

In the letter I wrote to Karen I was wrong to make the judgments I did. I inferred that the work of Gene Marshall, arguably the sharpest mind in the Order after JWM, was not up to snuff. And that the new PJD course was out of touch with what I considered valuable.

I am sorry. I was judging and weighing up when I should have still been observing. It is not my venue to make those judgments. I have not joined the list or reconnected to the movement for this reason. My purpose is to facilitate, if possible, the creation of a transformational course for Progressive Christians. One of the things  this almost 80 year-old learned from the order was that we are in mission for life. So I'm going to keep at this task.

I also do not need to know the who, what, or why the order took the 'turn to the world'. Life is good and whole because of it or in spite of it.
