[Oe List ...] Are you safe?

We panicked and packed - always interesting to see what you try to save -
but we were untouched by fire. Earlier this summer we had watched a fire
being fought successfully while sitting on our deck. We are so dry and on
the side of a hill where fire would just rush up quickly. But this time
there was no fire really near us and we are fine. Thanks for asking. Ann

The City of San Marcos is fine, though dry, and enjoying the weather which
is more than 10 degrees cooler than a week ago. There are parts of the
county that have burned but nothing like in Bastrop and areas near
Pflugerville.
Thanks for asking, Pat. We yearn for rain.--Diann McCabe

Hey, all you Austin, Texas lovers - and other hot places, too,
I'm looking at horrendous wild fire photos & wondering where you are - close
or far away from the inferno.
Hope you are not endangered like the Houston frog is.
Much concern; let us know.
