Dear Colleagues, 
Today I watched a memorial service taking place in Gander, Newfoundland
here on 9/11 some 37 planes
oming in from Europe to the USA were diverted to land in Gander after the
irspace closed in the USA. 
700 people showed up that day in a town of 10,000 people.  Friendships were
orged that week  and
ave lasted .  Many Americans showed up in Gander today to say thank you.

 In 2009, Tom Brokaw did a program on Gander and 9/11. You can see it at:

Canada has now declared that 9/11 will be a day of service.
