[Oe List ...] update on Ken Wiltse

Dear friends;

Wanted to update you on Ken's condition and situation.

The nursing home he had been transferred to from Virginia Mason Hospital,
and that we visited, gave almost "zilch" rehab work (absolutely everyone we
saw in that setting was in a wheelchair for their meal.)  A set-back sent
him to Providence Hospital in Everett, where they discovered that his
previous hospital had inserted his feeding tube into the lining of the
stomach instead of the stomach!  Also, the area around it was infected.
Everything now is draining well, but he still has heavy coughing and
swallowing trouble, which the medical staff is dealing with. They have him
on a good rehab program now, walking him a lot.
