Dear Colleagues,

Last weekend a call from Mollie Clements informed us of Jesse's death
Thursday night Feb. 16, 2012, age 81 (Kalamazoo, Michigan).  Jesse had a
long cancer illness due to extensive asbestoses exposure decades ago.  He
died quietly with Mollie, several family members present, and home hospice
support. 

Jesse had remained alert and communicated until nearly the last of life's
breath. 

A memorial service in his memory is scheduled for Feb. 29.  Details for that
weren't yet set but, presumably, it will be at the First United Methodist
Church where they've long been active.

Having visited the Clements several times at their home, we know Mollie has
quietly struggled with health issues of her own, but she provided Jesse's
care all the while. 

Mollie consented for the announcement of Jesse's death to be conveyed to
colleagues.  Please share this as you think others would appreciate it.
