"To allow oneself to be carried away by a multitude of conflicting
concerns, to surrender to too many demands, to commit oneself to too many projects
... is to succumb to violence. The frenzy of our activism ... kills the
root of inner wisdom which makes work fruitful."

I used to have this quote on the wall next to my computer.. I tend to start
more than I can finish. It has been helpful to me to follow ancient
wisdom that taught people to start new projects while the moon is waxing. (Fat
Tuesday was the 2nd new moon of the year.) Finish as much as possible
between the full moon and the next new moon. Of course the important work of
evolution is never really finished.

Thanks, Roger,

P.S. I've been working on writing the story of my mother's life. She'll be
100 July 1, so it's a big project. My dad was a wholesale agent for
Phillips 66 in the Texas panhandle in the 30's. Do you know if Phillips has
accessible archives that I might delve into? Thanks.
