[Oe List ...] Ken Wiltse's stroke

Dear friends,

 

I'm sending this through my business e-mail, since my personal one seems to
be having trouble. 

 

Some of you may already be aware that Ken Wiltse had a stroke Thursday,
followed by pneumonia.  He is at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle,
currently.  The stroke seems to have incapacitated him verbally; the doctors
were getting him up tonight to walk, so those skills seem to remain with
him.  He was moved today from CCU to a special floor where he can get
specific care.  Can't yet be fed by mouth, so hasn't eaten for a few days.
They'll be finding some way to get nutrition into him by this evening.

 

Peggy says she is doing okay; comes home once in awhile, but is mostly at
the hospital.  

 

Peggy's cell phone is 206-799-2708; actually, the home phone, 425-225-5451,
might even be better since she'll be able to respond at times appropriate
for her.
