So sorry to hear this. Jesse was a wonderful presence during Town Meeting: Mississippi. (Pregnant with our first son, I was always hungry and Jesse could in-kind the best meals in Southern Mississippi where we travelled together for a month.) Does anyone have an address for the Clements?

Mary Laura and I and Terry Bergdall dropped by on New Year's day to see Jesse and Molly, they are living in Kalamazoo, MI. mainly because a number of their children are living there.   Jesse has the cancer that comes from asbestos, it was diagosed many months ago but there is not much doctors can do about it.  A year or so ago he told me that this cancer can live in one's lungs for 20 years before it activates.  I thought I heard that hospice was going to be contacted quite soon.  As usual Jesse was ready to talk about just about anything, they were quite thankful to Terry, and they said so for his efforts in strengthening the ICA currently.  Jesse did look quite thin to me, Molly was her energtic caretaker self.  They have been awarded money from lawsuits around asbestos in the last few years also, I was called on as a witness to this.
So this is what I know, as far as I know they do anwser the phone, at least they did at New Years.
