Paula,
Sooo good to hear from you after so many years. Can't believe you're 60--nor that I am 75. Happy Birthday wishes!
I am thrilled to hear how your girls are doing. Small wonder, though, given who their bright, loving mother is. I have so many fond memories of my time in Chicago. Can't believe it goes back to the West Side and then to Kemper and beyond the Pond.
Our twins, Dan and Dave, were seven when we adopted them and had been in five homes in five months. They are now in their 30s and have each given us two wonderful grandchildren who range in age from 5 to 12: Aidan, Gavin, Sierra, and Evan.
Richard is retired but still does one-on-one and group business consulting, mostly on the East Coast but sometimes much further, for the Philadelphia home office of Right Management Consultants for whom he worked full-time for 35 years.
Recently I've read Anne Frank: Beyond the Diary and God's Island: The History of Tangier. Tangier Island is on the Chesapeake Bay off the West Coast of the DelMarVa Peninsula. We live on another island off the East Coast of DelMarVa, joined to the Mainland with a long causeway. Grandparents and other close relatives of the woman who cleans our house live on Tangier and come to find out, their dialect is close to the original English of Shakespeare's plays . An article in a local paper last year was about a theater producer (somewhere in the country) who wants to do Shakespeare there with the local dialect and see where it all leads. Isn't that exciting?
Let's keep in touch. And be sure to take a good look at my website.
Lucille

Lucille,
I am always grateful for your comments. Thanks for the note about Charles Lingo and Adam. I had seen his name on a Discovery Channel thing sometime ago.
We are good.
Bekah is getting married 8/4/12 in California. She is content editor at Dictionary.com. She picks the word of the day and writes the hot word column.
Hannah is at BARD College majoring in Environmental Science.
Leah is a junior in HS and has a passion for the technical side of theater.
I celebrated my 60th birthday last week.
What are you reading? How is your family? How are you?
Paula
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
