Dear Jann, 

THE WAY OF THE CROSS LEADS HOME .... somehow this hymn comes to me as I
imagine you sitting with you mother, probably holding her handas you did for
Fred.  May you and she know that you have "loved each other dearly, more
dearly than the spoken word can tell" ....  I am thinking of you as all of
these songs run through my head.  The melodies give us permission to feel
our feelings as the words allow us space to think about life in its
fullness.

I am here in Vancouver with Bruce and Nancy's family - and I will light a
candle here as I send prayers to you, WIllie Mae and your family. Please
speak our names (the goddesses) to her and perhaps she will feel the energy
of our love.

Dear friends,

I just talked with Jann.  Her mother has a bowel obstruction which has not
been relieved by any of the measures which the doctors have tried. Her other
body systems have begun to shut down and she was in a great deal of pain.
She is now receiving comfort care which will be managed by a hospice team.
The doctors have told Jann and her family to expect that Hallie Mae may pass
away within a few hours to a few days. Jann requests prayers for a peaceful
and calm passing for her mother.
