Marge--
Is this a good time to give up my treasure of old files: RS-I, PLC, Academy and Human Development notes from Beverly and myself, along with Town Meeting materials, and lots and lots of other Order stuff like Song Books, 5th City magazines, etc.
I've been hanging on to it, and sharing a lot of it, as I can. But, I've been chaste about not turning it over to only get lost in the shuffle or the trash can. I've had that experience in my Ordered Life. However, it really doesn't belong to me, but to the Order and the Vanguard of History.
Please advise.
I'd like everything to be a part of your effort in the archives. However, my Journey to the East is not complete until all 10 of my books on. "The Trinity New Testament Bible Commentary" is in being, and this is anticipated sometime in the next four years--and I'll be 81!
Besides this, I'm just a poor preacher (Your line is,"Yes, I've heard you preach.") Yet, it seems that for eleven years I gave up Social Security in the belief I'd be buried in an Order Columbarium under the sign of an Order Cross and all that.
Since God hates wish dreams, Beverly and I are forced to live pretty much day-by-day with little to invest in our "want to's."
You can't know how grateful I am to people like yourself who stand in the gap of what no longer needs to be organized, and what faces you as an insurmountable task. You are colleagues of the first order.
Inner Peace,
Bill and Beverly Salmon

The Global Archives Team invites you to consider the following sojourn coming up soon.
April 30-May 12, 2012 Spring Sojourn Session
One Team will be working with the Town Meeting Collection. People who worked with the Town Meetings on the ground and at Centrum are needed. We will focus on the design, planning, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of the Town Meeting Program. Anyone who wants to learn about Town Meetings is welcome.
The Other Team will work with the Training Programs: The Academy, International Training School, and Human Development Training School. We need people who were there teaching, participating, enabling (or wish they had been). We will organize the files by year and by subject.
October 8-19, 2012 Fall Sojourn Session
The focus will be on the Global Social Demonstration Collection. We have located substantial files that have not been processed. We also need to review the categories to be sure they are most helpful in locating needed documents. We especially invite people who are interested in a particular project like Maliwada or Gibson.
Sojourns will also include samples of our audio-visual archival collections (tapes, slide shows, posters, etc).
Please contact us to register. We'll send you a form with explanations about accommodations and meals.
Marge Philbrook, Paul Noah, Sally Fenton, Jean Long, Rosemary Albright, Beret Griffith, and Frank Knutson
We're getting a new ica address but it isn't "up" yet. So you can just reply to my address. Marge
