CONTEXT AND INTENTS  We want to dive into SO FAR FROM HOME to create a common framework for us that will spur a deeper shared reflection among us on what is really going on in our work, our world and ourselves.  We are interested in GROUNDING our exploration in real life.  We see this as a spiraling journey – seeing the whole book (all of our chapters) in each part, and gradually moving down into our own grounded reflections

RECOMMENDATIONS
Each participant (can be pairs) select and  “Do” a chapter.   “Do” = study it on behalf of all of us, and create a Visual overview of the chapter (chart?) with key points/quotes, that caught you and a visual image, Grounding examples, and One to two provocative questions to focus our attention.

Post it where we can all see, comment, and add our reflections (either on this website or Gdocs and Represent the perspective of that chapter as needed and be ready to guide a 20 minute plunge into your chapter

WE RECOMMEND to Schedule 8 weekly Sessions 70 minutes each — dive into 2 chapters per session (20 minutes each), plus 10 to start, 10 for a break in the middle and 10 to wind up.  We are suggesting to continue on Tuesdays at 5:00 pm Seattle time, but will finalize this on our call.  We need ways to continue the exploration off line, face to face, in other configurations and other modalities

TECHNOLOGY AND GUIDELINES

We can use GoToMeeting (Helen has offered) or some other on line conferencing package –stick with one to ease the “learning technology” part
Important to get head phones,
Mute microphones when not speaking
Need capacity to see the screen, have book in front of you either r on screen or on paper
Ability to share screens so we can all see the same thing
